Search LIBROS
The library catalog, LIBROS, is the search engine for browsing the library (kind of like Google). No matter what you are looking for, the LIBROS catalog is a good place to start because it can tell you several things:
- if the library has what you're looking for, which edition or format and provides a citation
- if there is a physical copy in available, where it is (Location and Call Number), and if it is checked out
- if the library has an electronic version, it provides a link to download it
- if the item is available at another library, it can be requested through Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
Search Tips
- Choose your most important keywords; consider synonyms, conceptual relationships.
- Take advantage of established subject headings and Boolean operators (and, or, not).
- Use the "Advanced Search" to combine search terms.
- Limit results by date, format, language, etc.
- Click ont he blue title to open the item, preview or access the full text.
