The English Language Learners' collection at Valencia Campus includes bilingual materials, fiction and non-fiction at lower lexiles, dictionaries, and online language resources designed to help students study and practice their English language skills.  These are all discoverable in the library catalog.


Use the advanced search function to limit to specific formats, date ranges, or lexile levels. Suggested subject terms to narrow your results to ELL specific resources: "English language study and teaching", "bilingual literature", "English dictionaries", "[name of language] and English bilingual dictionary", "Children's and Young Adult literature" or "graphic novels" or "Young adult non-fiction" ...

Databases are powerful tools for finding information from around the world in a variety of languages. You can change the database interface to "preferred" language, translate articles or listen to it aloud another language.

  • Set up your account with our link.
  • Tutoring for classes in Spanish or English. Real time, real live tutors!
  • SkillSurfer ESL resources & Language Learning Lab.

  • Setup account on campus. On campus only for community users.
  • Study materials and test preperation in a variety of languages, e.g. Spanish GED materials.
  • TOEFL test material for educators.
